The Honorary Consulate General of Romania in Ohio is happy to announce that the Romanian movie “Marona’s Fantastic Tale” was selected to be screened during the 44th Edition of Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) 2020.
Launched for the first time during Annecy International Animated Film Festival, selected to compete for Best European Animation at European Film Awards, and winner of Grand Prize at Tokyo Anime Award Festival 2020, the movie directed by Anca Damian and written by her son, Anghel Damian, was described as a modern fairy tale about unconditional love and sacrifice.
The animation tells the story of Marona, a dog with heart shaped nose that leaves deep marks in the lives of her multiple owners. Acclaimed by critics, the movie impresses with the beautifully combined animation styles, and the captivating life story of a sweet little dog with a very big heart.
The Romanian movie “Marona’s Fantastic Tale” can be watched by accessing the CIFF Streams platform.
Ticket price is $8, and can be bought via Stream Tickets until April 28, 2020.
